IEEPA Recovery Community

The IEEPA Recovery Community - Filing Together.

The government made this process complicated. We're making it simpler - together. TariffGuru.com is the platform. You are the community. If you've hit a wall, found a solution, filed successfully, or discovered something that isn't in any official guide - share it here. We verify it, publish it, and make sure the next business doesn't have to figure it out alone.

TariffGuru.com - File it right the first time.

Share. Learn. File Correctly.

Every submission helps another small business avoid a costly filing mistake. The IEEPA recovery process is too complex to navigate alone - and you don't have to.

PHASE 1 ISSUE

Entry rejected with 'Account Mismatch' - what does it mean?

The IOR number on your ACE account does not match the IOR number on the entry summary. This happens when a customs broker filed the entry under a different IOR. Verify your IOR number in ACE matches exactly what appears on your 7501 Entry Summary.

PHASE 1 ISSUE

ACH refund bank account - why does it have to be separate from my duty payment account?

CBP's system uses different routing for duty payments and refund disbursements. If you use the same account for both, the refund routing can conflict with outgoing duty payment instructions. CBP explicitly requires a separate ACH account registered in the ACH Refund Authorization tab of your Importer sub-account.

PHASE 2 PREP

My entries have AD/CVD codes alongside IEEPA codes - how do I separate them?

This is tariff stacking - one of the most common Phase 2 preparation challenges. You need to isolate the IEEPA HTS Chapter 99 component from the AD/CVD, Section 232, or Section 301 components on the same entry line. TariffGuru's concierge service includes a stacking analysis as part of the $4,500 Institutional Data Audit.
